AnonyMaps

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2026 | Operator: ProspectMiner (NV) | Contact: contact.anonymaps.org

1. Who We Are

AnonyMaps is a mobile application operated by ProspectMiner, a Nevada company. AnonyMaps helps people find 12-step recovery meetings near their current location. The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

We built this app with one guiding principle: the people who use it deserve to do so without being tracked, profiled, or sold.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide Voluntarily

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

      Your email address

A password (stored in encrypted form by Supabase, our database provider — we never see your plain-text password)

Your name, if you choose to provide it

Account creation is entirely optional. The core features of AnonyMaps — finding meetings, viewing meeting details, getting directions — are available without creating an account.

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

When you use AnonyMaps, the following information is used to provide the service:

Your approximate device location — used to find meetings near you and sort results by distance. Location is used in real time to perform searches and is not stored in a permanent profile.

Search queries you type into the search bar — used only to filter meeting results in the moment. Search queries are not stored or logged after the search is performed.

Meeting selections — if you tap a meeting to view its details, the meeting ID is used to retrieve that meeting's information. This is not stored as a behavioral profile.

We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not embed analytics trackers. We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies.

2.3 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your full precise GPS coordinates for storage

We do not collect your contacts, calendar, or messages

We do not collect your device identifiers for advertising purposes

We do not collect demographic information

We do not build behavioral profiles on our users

3. How We Use Your Data

The data described above is used solely to operate the AnonyMaps service:

Location is used to find and sort meetings near you

Email and password are used to authenticate your account

Meeting selections are used to display the correct meeting details

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our database and authentication provider. Supabase is a US-based company that stores data on servers located in the West US (North California) region. Supabase processes your email, encrypted password, and any profile data you provide. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

We use Anthropic's API to power multi-language translation of the app's interface. No personally identifiable information is sent to Anthropic. Only UI string translation requests are made.

We use RevenueCat to process in-app subscription purchases. If you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes the transaction on behalf of Apple or Google. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AnonyMaps, its users, or the public.

4.3 Government Pilot Program

AnonyMaps operates a compliance check-in feature under a government pilot contract with a California municipality. Data collected under this program is governed by a separate data processing agreement and is architecturally isolated from consumer data. If you are a participant in this program, you will be separately notified of the specific data practices that apply.

5. Data Retention

If you create an account, your account data is retained until you request deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at contact.anonymaps.org.

Location data used for meeting searches is not stored after the search is completed. Search queries are not retained.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you

The right to correct inaccurate data

The right to request deletion of your data

The right to opt out of any sale of personal data (we do not sell personal data)

The right to know what categories of data we collect and how we use it

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact.anonymaps.org. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

AnonyMaps is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact.anonymaps.org and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored using Supabase's built-in encryption. All data transmission between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. We use server-side data protection functions to process information in a way that limits exposure of personally identifiable details.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

AnonyMaps allows you to open meeting addresses in third-party mapping applications such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze. When you do so, you leave AnonyMaps and are subject to those applications' own privacy policies. AnonyMaps is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party applications.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of AnonyMaps after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
